Y-LIPSTICK (Youth Program)
Y-LIPSTICK extends this mission to young women through a five-week, youth-led curriculum that interrupts cycles of violence and victimization. Using a train-the-trainer model, the program equips girls with tools, confidence, and knowledge to influence their peers and communities.
Curriculum Topics
- The Toll of Gun Violence: Understanding trauma and community impact
- Self-Esteem: Strengthening identity and confidence
- Dating Violence: Recognizing harmful relationships
- Conflict Resolution: Building peaceful problem-solving skills
- Social Media: Navigating online influence safely and responsibly
Participants receive stipends to support engagement and commitment.
After Graduation, Youth Can Become:
- Y-LIPSTICK Trainers
- Advocates and peer leaders
- Champions of violence-free communities
Grounded in WAB2G’s Theory of Change, Y-LIPSTICK is a culturally aligned, trauma-informed, and holistic program that addresses social determinants of health, peer pressure, stigma, systemic barriers, and intergenerational trauma.
Community partners and agencies may request a LIPSTICK presentation or refer youth to join the program.
